Camp Oak Ridge was established...

  • to provide our Lutheran Pioneer and Lutheran Girl Pioneer groups with a place to practice and learn the skills required for living in God's world
  • to encourage fellowship with other Christians
  • to develop a knowledge of God's wonderful creation
  • to help in the development of our future Christian leaders.
  • This is a secured facility
  • Gates are locked at all times
  • You must contact a director to gain entry

Camp Oak Ridge is located at N303 Tower Road, Palmyra Wisconsin, (Use Eagle Wisconsin on GPS) and contains approximately 35 acres of meadows and forest land with lots of hiking trails. Camp Oak Ridge is within minutes of Old World Wisconsin (see how the early settlers lived and worked), The Kettle Moraine State Forest (hiking, bicycle and horse trails),The camp is home to a variety of birds, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, raccoons, butterflies and varmints (some of which may be campers) and (depending on the time of year) an abundance of bugs.

Who uses Camp Oak Ridge?

Any members of the above Congregations are free to use the camp at anytime.  Call and ask your Director for availability and the key.

What services are, and are not, provided?

There is a bathhouse with flush toilets  and showers (bring your own soap). Each group or individual is expected to clean the bathhouse daily or as required, leaving it in a condition that is clean and healthy for the next camper or camping group.

Each camping area has electrical (30 and 15 amp) pedestals and running water. The camp sites are all group sites and sharing the water and electrical hookups is expected. There are remote area sites for tent campers with no electric and water for those that like to rough-it.

There is a trailer dumping station located next to the bathhouse.

There is a kitchen/pavilion available for group functions. Please check with your church camp director (see list below) for reserving the building for your group. Several church picnics and the annual pig roast are held at various times of the year and scheduling is important to ensure availability.

There is no janitorial service or garbage disposal at the camp. Each group or individual is expected to clean up after using the camp and is responsible for their own garbage collection and removal.

Cost of Camping:

$1.00 per adult per night (18 and over). Any other donations will be greatly appreciated.
For any other questions please contact your director.
